Westcare Specialist Hospital - The idea to create Westcare Hospital group was conceived in 1997. This idea was brought to fruition in May 1998 when the first hospital was founded and named Ilogbo central Hospital. The hospital was named after Ilogbo town near Ajangbadi, Ojo LGA of Lagos in which the hospital was situated.

Job Title: Medical Officer

Job Description

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing medical care, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and implementing treatment plans for patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

 Responsibilities

● Conducting medical examinations and assessments of patients.

● Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses.

● Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and MRIs.

● Prescribing medications and other treatments as necessary.

● Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

● Providing counselling and education to patients about their health conditions and treatment options.

● Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

● Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.

● Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.

● Adhering to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

● Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS)

● A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Medical officer

● Good command of written and spoken English.

● Good interpersonal skills, and must have a good rapport with people.

● Have the ability to communicate at all levels.

● Proactive approach and capable of working within a team.

● Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine.

● Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records.

● Willingness to stay updated on developments in the field of medicine through continuing education and professional development activities.
